Truth Matters

The sexual revolution has wreaked havoc in our world and it needs to end! The question is, how do we end it? How do we convince people that "free sex" is not at all free and in fact, quite enslaving to the souls who are entrenched in the movement, whether voluntarily or forced into it.

That means we need to educate people and to educate people, it means we have to speak up - loud and often!! My goal is to speak out against pornography, rape, molestation, pedophilia, sex before marriage, abortion, contraception, sexually transmitted diseses and everything else that takes us away from the plan - THE PERFECT PLAN - God has for us and even for our sexuality. What we have today is no where near God's perfect plan for us.

We need to quit sacrificing our children on the altars of political correctness. We are so afraid of hurting someone's feelings, that we neglect the next generation. We don't tell them the truth, because we might hurt someone who is recovering from their involvment in the sexual revolution.

Parents need to be speaking to their children. Be honest with your children. Tell them that God has given them a great gift - their virginity. This gift can only be given to 1 person - either Jesus Christ (in a vocation to the priesthood or religious life, or even as a single person) or to their spouse. If they give their virginity to someone other than Jesus Christ or their spouse, they have gone against God's perfect plan. I am not referring to people who are violated through rape or incest - they have not given the gift to anyone - it was taken from them and that action should be condemned!

Having multiple sexual partners causes a great deal of harm psychologically and potentially physically. Is this what you want for your children? The Catholic Church does not allow contraception (please visit the USCCB website to read what the Church teaches) and even if it did, the only form of contraception that protects against sexually transmitted diseases is abstinence - which is part of God's plan until we are married.

Without a doubt, we should be hearing the truth of Jesus Christ every single time we attend Mass - from the Liturgy of the Word to the homily. Unfortunately, we aren't always getting the full truth during homilies - sometimes it is so watered down it is barely recognizable. We need to quit beating around the bush!

We know there are women and men attending Mass every single week that have had an abortion, or been involved in procuring an abortion, and maybe they have already gone through a healing process, maybe they haven't. They need to know there is help out there for them. They need to know Jesus wants them to come to Him. Hearing about abortion from the pulpit might hurt someone and that is a very sad reality and we need to pray for everyone suffering silently that they will find healing help. But remaining silent about abortion because we might hurt someone sitting in our congregation is dangerous because then the next generation is not hearing that abortion is wrong (or taking birth control or sex before marriage or whatever hard truth needs to be discussed). In other words, we need to remember that those hurting today because of an abortion, might not have had an abortion if someone had told their generation how wrong they are - how far it is from God's plan to kill their child.

Let's be truthful with the next generation. Heck, let's start being truthful with all generations. Truth is eternal. Truth never goes out of style. Truth is always truth. Truth matters!
